Mark Allen Rognlien
January 9, 1956 - January 24, 2009

Mark Allen Rognlien, 53, of Colorado Springs, CO, died Saturday, January 24, 2009 in Colorado Springs, CO. He was born January 9, 1956 in Beloit, WI, the son of Martin A. and Annabelle Paulson Rognlien. Mark was very proud of his Norwegian heritage. He was a 1974 graduate of Beloit Memorial High School where he played football and ran track. He was also a graduate of the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire receiving a degree in computer science.

Mark married Wendy Waite in 1979. Mark was employed by Progressive Insurance as a computer programmer analyst. He attended Life Church of God in Colorado Springs, CO and prior to his move to Colorado he attended the Living Word Tabernacle in Brodhead, WI. Mark enjoyed his time in Colorado he loved the outdoor opportunities that it gave him such as hiking, down hill skiing, hunting and fishing. Mark loved his children and was very proud of each and every one of them. He also realized being a grandpa was better then he could have ever imagined.

Survivors include his four children, Erika (Michael) Kempf of Milton, WI, Derek (Katie) Rognlien of Milwaukee, WI, Kyle Rognlien and Kari Rognlien both of Orfordville, WI; the mother of his children, Wendy Rognlien of Orfordville, WI; one granddaughter, Addison Kempf; his parents, Martin A. and Annabelle Rognlien of Beloit, WI; sisters and brothers, Deborah Rognlien-Algate and her spouse, Arthur of Melbourne, Australia, Kristin Wessell and her spouse, Michael of Stevens Point, WI, Eric Rognlien of Frisco, TX and Martin R. Rognlien of Williams Bay, WI; nephews, Nolan, Aaron, Austin and Ryan Wessell all of Stevens Point, WI.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 31, 2009 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with Pastor Russ Walker of Cross Point Community Church, Whitewater, WI, officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service Saturday in the funeral home.
